iTrust Wellness Group is hiring a Controller to join our growing, multi-site mental health practice. With more than 25 licensed providers across two distinct lines of business—psychiatric medication management and individual therapy—iTrust operates across multiple locations in the Upstate South Carolina region. Our team serves a diverse and expanding population through both in-person and telehealth services, with upcoming growth into pediatric care. The Controller will play a vital role in managing the financial operations that underpin this clinical mission, ensuring strategic alignment, compliance, and long-term fiscal sustainability.

Position Specifics:
Location: West Greenville Office (125 Commons Way, Greenville, SC 29611)
Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 7:30AM-4:30 PM; Friday, 7:30AM-12:00PM
Responsibilities:
- Execute and oversee daily accounting functions including journal entries, general ledger maintenance, and bank reconciliations
- Monitor daily balances, track cash flow projections, and maintain strong liquidity oversight across accounts
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of accounts payable and receivable.
- Collaborate closely with our external Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) partner to monitor collection trends, resolve payment delays, and ensure stable cash flow.
- Manage the month-end close process to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports (income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements)
- Lead monthly financial review meetings with key stakeholders and provide narrative analysis of performance trends, risks, and opportunities
- Lead the annual budgeting process, working closely with department heads to develop aligned financial plans
- Build and maintain rolling forecasts in response to evolving practice needs, resource changes, or external market conditions
- Support business development and expansion initiatives (e.g., new clinics, vendor transitions, service line launches) through financial modeling and budget planning
- Lead initiatives to improve accounting workflows, expense tracking, and data accuracy across systems and departments
- Partner with leadership in negotiating with insurance payers by preparing reimbursement analysis, advocating for fee schedule adjustments, and contributing to payer strategy and rate review cycles.
- Serve as the primary liaison with the external accounting firm for annual tax filings, quarterly estimates, and audit preparation.
Professional Qualifications:
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including hands-on execution and financial leadership
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (required); CPA or MBA strongly preferred
- Prior experience in healthcare, behavioral health, or multi-site practice settings required.
- Proven expertise in GAAP, internal controls, and cash-based and accrual-based accounting methods
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel; experience with accounting system integrations and reporting tools is a plus
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with demonstrated ability to translate data into actionable insights
- High attention to detail and accuracy in all financial tasks and reporting
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities effectively
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders

Compensation Package:
- Salary - $95,000 – 115,000 / year
- Paid Time Off (PTO) – 10 days (80 hours) plus one (1) day for each year of employment at iTrust for a possible maximum of 15 days (120 hours).
- Paid Company Holidays – 5 days (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Friday after Thanksgiving)
- Paid End-of-Year Break (Dec. 24-Jan. 1) – office-wide closure for the holidays to rest and recuperate.
