Patient Services Representative
iTrust Wellness Group – Outpatient Mental Health Practice
iTrust Wellness is seeking a Patient Services Representative (Front Desk) to join our Anderson, SC outpatient mental health practice in a patient services–focused role. This position is ideal for someone with a strong interest in mental health, excellent communication skills, and a passion for delivering a high-quality, seamless patient experience.
This role is fully administrative and patient-facing, serving as a key point of contact for patients while supporting providers and ensuring efficient daily operations. Position Overview
This role is responsible for managing front-office operations and coordinating patient services to ensure a smooth and welcoming experience from check-in to follow-up.
Primary Responsibilities (Patient Services Focus)
- Managing incoming and outgoing patient communication (phone calls, voicemails, text messages, fax communications and other correspondence) and documenting interactions accurately
- Scheduling, rescheduling, and confirming appointments
- Checking patients in and out, and coordinating follow-up appointments
- Assisting patients with general questions regarding services, forms, and office policies
- Gaining proficiency in the EMR system to enhance workflow and patient satisfaction
- Completing prior authorization requests for medications
- Communicating with pharmacies and other medical offices regarding prescriptions and care coordination
- Maintaining accurate patient records in accordance with HIPAA guidelines
- Collaborating closely with providers and administrative staff to ensure smooth daily operations
- Supporting company culture and upholding organizational values
- Assisting with staffing needs at other iTrust Wellness locations as needed
- Performing additional duties as assigned
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Knowledge of HIPAA and patient confidentiality standards
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience or interest in the mental health field preferred
- Previous experience in a front desk, patient services, or administrative role (healthcare preferred)
- Familiarity with EMR systems
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Teams)
- Experience in a private practice or outpatient setting
Schedule:
- Monday–Thursday: 7:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
- Friday: 7:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
This is an onsite role; candidates must be able to work in-office during standard business hours.
